"Do not do your degree through Walden. My advisor had forgotten to register me for a course. I discovered this after I turned in my final paper for what was supposed to be my final class. I started my degree in May, and I was supposed to be done with my degree in August of the next year. I discovered the mistake when checking my degree progress after I got emails talking about registration for the next semester and graduation, which confused me. When I called my advisor the next day, she immediately started talking about graduation. I told her that I was getting these emails, and that on my degree progress, it was showing I had one more course I had to take. Again, this confused me since the research course I had just submitted a final paper for had a label saying that the research course had to be taken last, and that taking all other courses was a prerequisite to being in the research course. She didn't give me a straight answer as to what was happening, but said it was possible that a class had been missed during registration, as that had happened before. I requested a call back ASAP, and never heard back from her again. I set up a call with a random advisor, and they immediately told me that I was supposed to be registered for that class in November of the previous year. This advisor was so incredibly kind and understanding, and she was shocked to find out that this had happened and that my advisor had told me that this situation had happened before. Again, I am very thankful to the second advisor I spoke to, but I am still livid that this mistake went unnoticed by my advisor for almost a year. I chose Walden since their advisors are in charge of registering you. As a full-time teacher, that took one thing off my plate, and I trusted my advisor to do her job. I did not feel like I learned anything new from my courses. I had some good professors, and some who seemed to have forgotten that everyone in that program was a full-time teacher. If you're a teacher looking to further your education, look elsewhere. It will just be a repeat of your undergraduate degree."

"A year of my life was taken for a degree that did not expand the knowledge I already had within my profession. The lack of technical support was awful and after spending 4 months with them to fix my account, nothing changed. I finished my degree on my cell phone!!!! After graduating with honors, no diploma has been received. The university does not have one HUMAN person you can speak to about graduation, only an email that they never respond to. I would never recommend this university to anyone!!!"

"For the most part, My experience was extremely professional and rewarding. The timely responses of my professors improved my ability to produce improved responses to my assignments. Despite my family and financial challenges, I was able to endure to the end with the full support of the financial team and most importantly for me most of my professors. My time at Walden University will always remain etched in my mind as my most rewarding experience."

"I enjoyed learning at Walden. Although it was not a walk in the park combining work and accelerated studies, but everything has been made such that students have access to quality learning materials and most especially great instructors. I loved it."

"My journey at Walden University has prepared me for greater good of my fellow men and society on a whole. I have met supportive instructors and colleagues, as we collaborated it was like a whole new world of information, strategies and best practices were forth coming. I enjoyed my experience at Walden, most persons seem to be so understanding and mature that the learning community provides equitable access to higher learning irrespective of one's background. Most of the professors that I encountered were diligent and professional in their duties, I only had a bit of challenges with two whom I think were just not so clear with information and very hard to please. Overall, my positive experiences outweigh the hiccups with those two professors. I have been sharing Walden with my colleagues and to date three (3) of my friends have enrolled at Walden, two graduated with me and the other is near completion."

"It was pretty easy...just had to make sure you turned assignments in on time. You could definitely make better choices about your education by going somewhere else."
