"I am currently enrolled for my Master's program with Walden University. So far, the overall experience is enjoyable. Being able to take my Master's program completely online while I am teaching in another South Korea. The program that I am taking, Global Higher Education, this will allow me to advance in my career, both financially as well as teaching positions. This university offers me the flexibility in which time and efforts will allow me to complete any work that I have set for a schedule. The registration process was easy, and communication as well, considering i'm in South Korea. There are international contact numbers, which allows me to maintain contact with the university should questions or concerns arise. I look forward to completing this program and continue my advancement while i'm in South Korea."

"Please be aware that Walden University working school week is only 6 days. Day 1 is Monday, Wednesday initial assignments are due and by SATURDAY all other work is due. This is extremely hard for the working nurse and mom to lose a whole day. I will be considering a transfer out of the program due to this."

"I am currently attending the MS in Higher Education program at Walden University. I am about a quarter of the way through the program and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by the program to this point. I initially wasn't sure about the online learning environment, but have found it to be very easy to follow instructions and the material to be relevant to the themes of the courses. Every class has a major discussion requirement that connects you with your classmates, and makes the learning experience very interactive."

"Avoid this school at all costs. After five classes, I called it quits. Four classes of no interaction with instructors and perfect scores on every assignment which led my to believe nothing was being graded as long as they were getting paid. I expected a level of academic integrity and would rather had feedback based upon my work not just being handed out grades. The fifth class that ended my tenure there was finally instructor involvement but very highly unprofessional involvement and then I started to notice that I might actually have been the only real student in the class because everyone else had to same writing style on the discussion board, every post was formatted the exact same way. It made me believe I was interacting with phony students or just names to fill up the class. I tried to drop this class and was told I must complete 60% of the class or my financial aid would be returned leaving a balance so I completed 75% of the class and then tried to drop the class and they refused so I stopped participating the rest of the way and withdrew from the University on the last day of the term. But, two weeks later, I now have a 1400 balance on my account for money that they claim they returned to the lender and are trying to collect on it. But when I contacted the lender, they said no money was returned so they are trying to scam 1400 extra dollars out of me.Stay away from the university at all costs"

"I must say things got off to a rough start.I work in higher ed so I knew what I needed to get done to start. I have to admit that I hesitated in getting started due to bad reviews I read online,So at the last minute I completed my enrollment and submitted a FAFSA,etc. In the meantime my admission adviser was switched to a new gut who was afraid to answer direct questions,"I think he thought he was being shopped". I asked for someone else to work with and they obliged. There financial aide office is centralized, meaning, the person that you speak with is NOT a financial aide officer. They are customer service representatives who collects information and forward it on to another office who actually processes all the packaging. Once I knew this,I was a little more patient with them.Once it was all said and done,I started and so far so good.I just completed my second class and I LOVED IT.I'M happy I pushed through. I love the writing tools offered by Walden.I really had to push through the holidays to maintain an A.It takes a great deal of commitment to get through any online program. Because I understand this business I have to say that people should do their own research when considering colleges, especially online schools; Some of the negative reviews here are due to people's lack of doing your research, following up and making sure things are in order before you start a program;and most importantly knowing without a doubt that an online education is best for you in the long run."
