"Excellent program with caring faculty who had lots of experience in the field. While not easy, I learned a lot that I could apply to my work in local govt. Great resources provided to students like the library. Great investment for me so I would recommend"

"I attended Walden University some years back to obtain a Masters Degree in Public Administration. I thought the program prepared me for a career in in the public sector and found the courses challenging. The types of courses provided enough in-depth discussion and education to give me a well rounded understanding of the topic and theories. In addition to the actual course work, I felt that I was able to communicate with other students and develop relationships with them to help me better understand the course material and complete projects. Overall, I would recommend Walden to any student considering them for a Master's Degree. I know it has helped me in my career."

"Good school! It's up to you to be committed to the programs. My professors were great and gave me good feed back. I wish there were more courses that offered socialization, because online school can be lonely. I recommend anyone to try the school. Look for grants, because getting and education is not cheap."

"As an online student, a few of the categories for rating do not apply (living, campus safety, transportation). A "not applicable" option is needed. I'm learning a lot about through Walden experience. The professors I've had the privilege to follow have been very helpful and rapid in responding to my inquiries. So far, I haven't had any negative experiences. Time management has been my bear and that is through no fault of Walden. The subject matter is easily relatable to real life and work situations. I look forward to completing my program and continuing my efforts at social change by applying my new knowledge."

"I really did enjoy and benefit from my time at Walden. I found the courses to be challenging and the instructors to be of the highest quality. There was an initial class (required) about online learning; which I believe should be offered in the second semester and only if it is obvious that a student is having difficulty managing the curriculum of an online learning scenario. You really have to be self-motivated . Nobody is going to hold your hand and tell you when to do your readings, when to participate in the class discussions, and when to do your homework. I had a few years between undergrad and grad school - during which I worked - and I think that experience helped prepare me for managing my own graduate studies. I was working full-time, taking classes full-time, and raising a family (including giving birth during my final term at Walden). It is possible. Sometimes I wish that there was more instructor guidance for the online classroom discussion component. Much like many other aspects of the internet, people can be more (inappropriately) vocal regarding their viewpoints as they can hide behind their laptops and never have to show their face to their classmates. While I am very much for intelligent and fact-based conversation regarding the subject matter - I felt that it would have been appropriate for the professor(s) - as the moderators - to jump in and steer the conversation back to its intended path on a few occasions. The experience was wonderful and I have and will continue to recommend Walden. I would also recommend jumping on your required reading list ASAP once you enroll in a class. Try Amazon and other retailers first before using the recommending online bookstore - it'll definitely save you some money."

"Walden is a well run school with excellent support and networking ability. The advisors are good and the quality of the education is above average in my opinion."

"I've read several of the reviews, focusing on the negative ones and I am a little amazed! I did my research before enrolling at Walden and I have a friend who attended which helped me decide to choose this school. I enrolled in March of 2012 and will complete my degree in August of 2013. I have had positive experiences with the instructors and financial aid office. I have not had to use job placement services or student support services. I have a 4.0 GPA. Some of the classes have been more challenging than others but just as many people have said, "you get out what you put in"! However, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I thought the cost was reasonable, a MBA with the University of Florida is $45K and MPA at FIU is $21K and Walden was about $22K (including books). Although, some of the courses were easier than other, most of the work was challenging. I consider myself a fairly intelligent person and it sometimes took me hours to write a two page paper because of all the research and references I had to include. I was accepted into FIU but decided to attend Walden so far I have no regrets. I liked Walden and have recommended to others who have enrolled."
