Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2015
"This school shows the reason to stick with a brick-and-mortar as they lack efficiency. It all started applying to one of their graduate nursing programs. The "enrollment advisor" they had calling me constantly along with everybody else knew NOTHING about the program....yet they claimed to be from that department? They couldn't even answer a simple question about the practicum which is of great importance. If you can't finish the practicum which they don't even set up for you then you don't graduate. This is particularly important for those in graduate nursing programs. So not to be able to tell students about it and to call yourself an "advisor" for the program shows they don't care what happens to you once your foot is in the door and they take your money. They bombard you with emails and calls and I even had to request to speak with the supervisor after interactions with a rude advisor who basically told me he was going to keep calling me regardless if i didn't want him to. Should've knew I couldn't trust this school when they couldn't tell me the success rate of some most students in their programs such as the Nursing Informatics or NP programs. Now I have to start over elsewhere. Poor student service combined with people who don't even know a thing shows the quality of this school. Save your money and get a degree from a more reputable school whose name you won't regret carrying."

Master of Science-Communication - 9/2/2015
Degree: Communications
Graduation Year: 2015
"Walden University prepared me for success in the Master of Science in Communication degree. My enrollment advisor, Kevin Gipprich, was outstanding. The faculty cared about me and were invested in my learning. I am pleased to recommend Walden University."

"Excellent program for self directed, motivated, students. If your grammar is poor don't go or learn before you go. Some teachers are good, some not directive, but this happens at any school. I had the best dissertation chair. She helped me the entire way."

Walden-Clinical Mental Health Counseling - 8/17/2015

Graduation Year: 2015
"My experience as a student at Walden University has been quite positive. The professors whom I have had for classes were available, responsive, and demonstrated a personal investment in my learning. While there were some professors who were better at this than others, every professor was helpful to some extent. Having the opportunity to attend an academic residency linked me with other students and provided a sense of the university. Walden is a for-profit school and is honest about the status. I highly recommend Walden for working professionals who want an education. You must be willing to work for this degree. You will receive what you put into your Walden experience. Do not expect professors or staff to hold your hand and do the work for you. Be an adult, study hard, and you will excel."

"I have had a great experience at Walen University. I just graduated cum laude and had a great time at graduation. Online education is not for everyone. It takes hard work and dedication. Everyone I encountered was very helpful, from academic advising, financial aid and enrollment advisers. Im currently enrolled for my master program. I would recommend walden to anyone that is discipline enough to do the work and put in the time and effort. I love Walden!"

Degree: Healthcare Management
Graduation Year: 2016
"I attended a reputable brick and mortar school for my Associate's Degree, Walden for my Bachelor's and am exploring which of the two I will choose to pursue my Master in Healthcare Administration as both universities offer the program totally online. The more I research this topic, the more disappointed I become with the impression most people have of Walden. I know for a fact that their curriculum is comparable to the online offerings of a major, local university. Furthermore, online work is about self-motivation and some people just cannot succeed in this way. I have found that professors do not simply let sub-par submissions slide; students are held accountable to the assignment requirements. I have a 4.0, spend probably 8 or more hours per week on each class's assignments and feel that I have learned valuable skills I will apply to my new field. I would definitely recommend Walden to self-motivated students who like to write. Research assignments are the crux of the work, both big and small, along with quizzes and tests. I love to work this way and feel that Walden's online environment has given me an opportunity to continue to work and take care of my children while earning my degree. In fact, I love that I don't need football Fridays or a campus crawling with alcoholics to get an education these days. Walden has been great for me."

MBA @ Walden - 8/2/2015
Degree: International Business
Graduation Year: 2011
"I attended Walden while working full-time. This degree did help advance my career as a Real Estate Analyst and provided the flexibility to be a working adult & wife. I am currently pursuing my doctorate in business administration at a brick and mortar school. Walden isn't for everyone and takes a lot of self-motivation and discipline. If you are willing to put in the time and effort with minimal supervision, go for it. If you need to more face-to-face help, go to a traditional school. I would be interested in seeing the outcome of those who give negative reviews for this school. Did they finish? Are they self-motivated? Once again, I am the type of student who does not want to sit in a classroom all day. I have a successful career and work for a Fortune 100 company (I'm also a military BRAT if that helps anyone). Feel free to ask any questions. However, I will not respond to trolls."

Degree: Public Policy
Graduation Year: 2015
"I had a different experience than others who have posted. Getting started with the classes and financial aid was no problem. I finished all my course work and then I hit my dissertation. This was a complete joke. I had no support and didn't understand the process that they kept changing. There was no help in locating committee members and no one to explain the process. The classes before my dissertation were no help in preparing for this god awful process."

Poor education at walden university - 7/28/2015
Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2025
"This is a college that has lack of instruction. They do not use the textbooks and there is lack of support with instructors. The financial aid office lacks knowledge and does not communicate with students about the aid. Filing appeals is a waste of time and will only be denied"
