Salary and Debt by Major at Southeast Technical Institute

We calculated a Salary Score for each of Southeast Technical Institute's programs by comparing program-specific median alumni earnings to median alumni earnings for the same program across all schools that provide this data. This way, students can compare the relative salary strength of a specific major at Southeast Technical Institute to the same major at other schools. A school's overall score by level is based on the school's by-program performance weighted by student enrollment in each program. Data is sourced from the December 2020 release of the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard and reflects median alumni debt upon graduation and median alumni earnings in the year after graduation for students who received federal financial aid. Debt and salary numbers are shown rounded to the nearest $10.

On the surface, the reputation of this program is quite impressive. They are mentioned in most publications at the top when discussing the best places to go to study ultrasound. This reputation was a major deciding factor in my application and attendance to this program. However, once I was in the program the truth started to come out. First, the previous group of students in the same program only graduated 8 of 22 students. My group only graduated 14 of 20. The directors overestimate their ability to teach... Read More

This was the absolute worst program. The nursing instructors do not care about you and have the most stupid rules. They are unfair in grading and unrealistic. The professors will say you can not do something but then do it right in front of you. They do not care if you fail or succeed, they only want the pay check. Some example of bad or unfair grading include: A student was docked 3 points because they yawned at clinical, A student got into an car accident and was injured but still went to clinical. They...
