Salary and Debt by Major at The University of Texas Medical Branch
We calculated a salary score for each of The University of Texas Medical Branch's programs by comparing program-specific median alumni earnings to median alumni earnings for the same program across all schools that provide this data. From the years of 1996-1998 I attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and graduated with a bachelors in nursing. I lived and studied in Galveston for both years. The city this school is in makes it possible for you to find affordable housing off campus. I lived in some apartments about 10 miles from campus and spent my time de-stressing by rollerblading on the seawall. I lived in a two bedroom apartment and shared rent with another female student that I found by placing an ad in the school... Read More
UTMB is a great medical school to attend in Texas. The classes are set up for the first two years in a way that allows for a lot of study time on your own instead of dependent on the classroom setting. We also have a dedicated block to studying for the Step 1 exam after the second year.
