"The school offers a wealth of knowledge and resources in teacher training. The staff is highly accessible and knowledgeable in their fields, and are eager to extend their aid to support students' individual learning/career initiatives. The curriculum is based on collaborative learning, reinforcing a strong collegial community as a result."

"The Ed Leadership program is excellent. I applied for and was hired for a position immediately after completing the certificate program. I feel well-prepared for the position due to UVA. Professors were outstanding. The only criticism I have is that technology was available but not consistently used by the professors."

"This is a competitive, direct-entry Master's program offering a 1 to 1 clinical ratio. This hands on training cannot be beat."

"I am currently enrolled in the master's of science in nursing program at the University of Virginia. As far as affordability, this graduate program seems to be one of the most expensive in the state, but there is some financial assistance offered through the nursing school that helps to make cost more manageable. The quality of education at the University of Virginia cannot be matched, the professors in the nursing school truly care about the students and have their best interest in mind. The workload is likely comparable to other MSN programs. The surrounding area around UVa is a beautiful background of mountains. The Charlottesville community is very supportive of UVa and has a lot to offer, specifically plenty of delicious restaurants and coffee shops along with well-maintained trails for the outdoor enthusiast. I highly recommend this university and the master's of science in nursing, specifically the nurse practitioner program."

"Charlottesville is a nice but small place. But that's mostly ok for a graduate student that is working most of the time. Friendly atmosphere in the Physics Department, with a few politics behind the curtains. Graduate classes are good, some professors are sharp. Good opportunities for research in a variety of fields. The Physics building feels old though, it is not the ideal place to spend 3/4 of your time in."

"Pros, This program is a very tiny program, but it is very diverse. Both faculties from ECE and CS dept. work together and they have tight relationship. Cons, The program is short of faculty now. So there are not enough courses offered currently."

"It also depends on the advisor you choose. Some professors give you more freedom than others in your research. Some professors are results oriented (results are published) and don't like pure research which doesn't yield to many papers..."

"UVA is a very competitive law school, and classes reflect its academic competitiveness, but I think the quality of life of a UVA Law student is among the best in the nation. Almost everyone at the school is down-to-earth and someone you would enjoy hanging out with outside of class. The professors are also, with a few exceptions, phenomenal."

"I can't imagine attending any other school. As rigorous as the program is and with recruiting on top of that, it's truly a collaborative community where students can expect their classmates, professors and career counselors to go above and beyond in assisting in reaching our career goals. I in the first 3 months of school, I had dinner at 2 of my professors homes with their families. It's that kind of place. The rigor of the program pushes me to be a better and more influential business woman who is more equip for the reality of the global business environment. Lastly, the Darden alumni network will do anything to support one another. In times where the economy is unstable, it is great to know that I a member of a lifelong network that will continue to provide the same level of support that I have received since the day I stepped on campus."

"My graduate school program is great! The professors are go the extra mile to help you with school related concerns or personal matters. The technology is mind-blowing and we have access to so many resources. The curriculum is very interactive and worth every penny. The administration is very receptive to students adn act quickly on demands or suggestions. Our word as students really count and make a difference. They financial aid office is very helpful and hold sessions throughout the year, which are very informative on real life economics. Overall, the atmosphere is incredible and the amazing type of people that are here, you will not find anywhere else. Lastly, all students are truly happy."

"Pros: Good student support, facilitation of relationships with faculty through small group classes, good need-based aid, faculty mostly enthusiastic about teaching students, usually a totally reasonable work load, exams over the weekend whenever we want to take them, only 4 hours of class a day for 4/5 days. I personally love the area in which the school is located. Cons: May not be urban enough for some people. The class isn't very diverse."

"UVA Law seems to be an anomaly among top law schools - students seem happier here than at other law schools and are not chained to their books 24/7. Above all, the vibe here is very collegial and cordial. Students interact with each other a great deal, sharing notes, studying in groups, and doing social activities, which includes softball, for which each law school 1L section has a team. The professors and faculty are accessible - students are invited and encouraged to drop into professor's and faculty's offices and to go out to lunch with them. I can't imagine being this satisfied and content at any other law school. Bottom line is law school here is actually enjoyable and fun, two descriptors that I never expected to be paired with a JD program."
