"The pros of the graduate program is that they allow undergraduate students begin taking graduate courses that they can count towards their graduate degree, if they decide to pursue their degree at Marquette. Cons of the graduate program would maybe commuting to and from campus can be difficult if you decide to live off campus."

"I am honored and humbled by my ability to attend law school. I have worked in the legal industry for over 10 years in order to feel as though I was a part of the legal industry. Now I am able to take the next step and practice law. With all of that being said, I will have many sacrifices to achieve my goal. I will work full time as well as attend law school. This will greatly diminish the time I have available for my social life which includes spending time with loved ones. I also am putting all plans of creating a family in order to complete law school. Almost every aspect of my personal life will be put on the back burner while I achieve my goal. I am absolutely thrilled that I am able to attend law school and will do everything in my power to achieve success."

"Marquette is a very supportive environment. There has been times where I felt that there was too much to do and the professor always guided me and supported me. The class sizes are very intimate and that forces you to get involved in your learning. The cons would be that because of the specialization of my program in particular, there is no deciding when you take the classes- they flow in order and only on one day and time per semester. Financial aid has been provided but obviously not as much as needed."

"I have been extremely satisfied with my experience thus far in Marquette University's part-time MBA program. I find the classes to be interesting and valuable as they are structured in a way that maximizes their applicability to real-world scenarios. I have also found my professors to be very engaging and knowledgeable, often incorporating current events into their teachings. I've also enjoyed the diverse educational, work, and ethnic backgrounds of the peers in my classes. It often results in meaningful conversations both inside and outside the classroom, and also provides for outstanding networking opportunities. Additionally, I've found Marquette's alumni network to be very strong and supportive of past, present, and prospective students. The University is always looking for ways to connect students with alumni to strengthen networking webs and further enhance the overall experience. Overall, I am very pleased with my decision to pursue my MBA at Marquette University and have found the experience to be extremely fulfilling."

"This was the right choice for me: it's competitive without being cutthroat, it's got excellent faculty support, and it is situated in a lovely city with a lot to do. You should be wary of crime, there are regular robberies near campus of those who walk alone, but DPS is trying to do better with this."

"The Marquette PA program uses vigorous coursework combined with clinical experiences to prepare students for the PANCE and a future career as a PA. Marquette PA students and alumni are respected and sought out in the surrounding Milwaukee health care community. Faculty are always accessable and committed to helping students and adjunct faculty round out clinical and specialty area knowledge. Overall I could not be happier with my Marquette education thus far."

"The Marquette University physician assistant program is very reputable due to the faculty and national PANCE exam scores. The program does a good job at creating high quality future physician assistants. The program also has a lot of connections around the nation for rotation sports for its students. Some cons include the cost of attendance and length of the program (33 months). Also, since the university is located in Milwaukee, crime does happen regularly. However, the university has many student safe programs and options for transportation."

"The faculty in the College of Education are incredibly engaged in teaching and helping outside of the class. Hiring placement after graduation has been 100% for the past several years. The program, and Marquette in general, is not very diverse."

"This program has been a wonderful experience in developing each student, myself included into the best professionals we can be. Through extremely supporting faculty who dedicate their time outside of classroom time to best benefit the students. In addition they serve as great mentors helping us to succeed. Our course work is very comprehensive and more than prepares us for our clinical experiences and ultimately our careers! At times the weeks are busy and the work is taxing, but what graduate program does not have those moments? The community that is developed in this program is unmatched and I know I will always have a family supporting wherever my career adventures may lead me!"

"Pros: Marquette has a fantastic graduate program with a wonderful staff that is extremely supportive throughout the duration of the program. The course load is challenging but necessary to be successful. Living arrangements are very affordable and widely available for students. The students are very supportive and social finding time to have fun together to get through the difficult course load associated with PA school. Cons: The location is not the greatest as the neighborhoods tend to change quickly but the campus is safe. The population of students could be more diverse, the majority of students are white, middle class, but the class changes every year and the program as a whole truly embraces diversity. The school does not have a strong reliance on the use of technology. There is not a substantially large amount of financial assistance from the university itself, but staff knows where to direct you if you need financial assistance."

"I'm in the Physician Assistant program at Marquette, a very competitive program with over 500 applicants for 55 available spots. The program has very high expectations, making it one of the most reputable PA programs nationally. With the high work load, my days consist of school and studying. The school is located in an area of high crime rate, but being cautious about my surroundings, have kept me safe. Being a transfer from a different college, there are no scholarship offered through Marquette, with tuition being over $35,000 a year."

  • Degree: Philosophy
"The philosophy graduate program at Marquette is rigorous and competitive. There is little by way of financial support (unlike programs at other universities), and what is available often results in competitions among students. Nevertheless, the faculty are diverse in their interests and specialties, and the department has over twenty full-time faculty. One can specialize in ancient, modern, or contemporary philosophy, in race theory or philosophy of mind and psychology. The diversity of the program is one of its greatest assets, alongside the knowledge that the professor's impart to the students. In addition, the department is excellent at preparing students for teaching. I have taught undergraduates autonomously for a number of years now, and this itself assists in the learning process. To this extent, Marquette has an overwhelming amount of philosophical and pedagogical resources, but lacks financial resources. I have grown immensely during my time at Marquette, but the financial burden is extensive. I have two young children, and teaching as an adjunct pays very little. It is difficult for the university to offset this burden on graduate students, but, I still have found my experience at Marquette to be predominantly beneficial and rewarding."

"The graduate program for physical therapy provides an excellent education. Professors care about the students as a whole and not just academically. The professors truly want their students to succeed professionally and in any other aspect of life. Everyone in the program is very knowledgeable and confident in their teachings; they are willing meet with students outside of class. Students in the program want to be the difference in the world, and have the strongest passion for helping and caring for others."
