"There are many positive aspects to this program. It allows students interested In pursuing a career in oenology research the opportunity to learn and work side- by- side with current scientists employed at Roswell park cancer institute. One negative is hat our classes are offered at three different locations with overlapping times making the elective course selection somewhat limited."

"UB is a quality school that provides a good education. Classes sizes tend to run on the larger side, which is a bit of an issue if you prefer a smaller sized classroom. But overall I am happy I chose to attend UB for my masters program and would suggest it to anyone."

"The school offers a competitive program with great access to teachers that offer career advice. The more effort one puts in the more they get out of the program. Many of the professors are actually practicing in their profesions."

"Pros One of the deciding factors for choosing the University at Buffalo was that it was affordable (tuition and living expenses) and that it was well-known for both of the fields that I am interested in (Architecture and Structural & Earthquake Engineering). It is a definitely a lot of work for both of these programs but I learn a lot and am enjoying my studies. My degrees are definitely respected and there are a lot of research opportunities (an important consideration for graduate study). Cons The cons for me were that there was not much overlap between architecture and engineering, as well as some other interdisciplinary fields. Being able to cross-pollinate would have been beneficial. I also wish there was a more diversity in my programs. The good news is that there is a growing number of minorities present in undergraduate engineering and architecture programs."

"I like that my program is very affordable to those who live in state. UB is a well recognized school and is well known for the research done. It is a great education for an affordable price."

"This school is a great value. While not all professors are the best, the amount of good professors greatly outweigh the bad. Even if the professor doesn't appeal to your learning style, you have to put forth the effort- law school is about work, and these professors will make you work for your grades. What's great about UB Law is the community feeling you get, while students do work hard and want to succeed, there is still a great amount of support and assistance, not competitive attitudes, that exist. The faculty and staff here really want you to succeed, as shown by the availability of the professors to meet and talk with you and the numerous networking and events that occur throughout the year. I have really enjoyed my first year at UB Law, the school does have countless opportunities and possibilities to have great experiences, but you just have to put forth the effort to get there as well."

"My first year law professors this semester were horrible. I was prepared for a lot of work. I was not prepared for professors who do not even have a mastery of the English language. I was not taught the things I will need to know for the bar exam. If I wasn't living at home for free, I would transfer. Also, I still haven't managed to find an internship and it's June 1st."

"UB is a great community to be a part of, hence why I choose to come back for graduate school. Although there are some improvement needed in terms of comfort for students. There is not much of a complaint for the program."

"The faculty in the English department at UB are incredible; in addition to being brilliant and experienced, there is not a single faculty member with whom I've worked who has been unwilling to help me in any way necessary. They expect a great deal from students without being aloof or disapproving, and there is always a focus on graduate students no matter what else is happening. The only negative, and it's one that is recognized by nearly everyone, is that there aren't as many professors being hired as there could be, a problem which the chair is actively seeking to redress."

"I am really happy with the quality of the professors and mentors in this program. They are readily available for support, always involved in interesting research, and have real world experience. The program is not quite as challenging as I expected graduate school to be."

"The History MA program at UB is very intense and rewarding. Students are encouraged to participate in local and national conferences, while the faculty provides excellent support in doing so. Students are offered the opportunity to participate in UB sponsored symposiums on a variety of topics. For anyone interested in international exposure UB has one of the largest international student populations in the US."

"The graduate program here at the University at Buffalo is good. The pros are that the staff is very supportive and helpful overall. The workload is manageable. The only con that I have is the price/financial aid options."

"I have totally loved going to UB!! It was the most wonderful experience. It was very high intensity and stressful but thats what I like!! Easy is not me so I certainly picked the right major to be in!! I have learned so much and can't wait to continue my education with grad school. Being an architect is my dream and I can not wait to use my talent."

"The department is growing in size and doesn't have the funds to offer enough financial aid (ie. teaching assistant positions). There's a small number of faculty and so not many courses are offered in certain fields. The quality of teaching and research is incredible and right at the forefront of new areas."

"The University at Buffalo offers a strong education and many research opportunities that are often coupled to funding opportunities. There are a wide variety of programs available with additional diversity within the individual programs to specialize to any student's need. The area is easy to find living arrangements at affordable rates, but one must be fairly creative to find social activities not inundated by undergrad students."

"SUNY Buffalo Law is a great value overall. The exception is the on campus housing, which is pretty expensive (although they are good buildings and fairly new). There isn't a day that goes by where there isn't some kind of event to go to for the Law School. The legal community here is close knit and can provide a good network for internships and career opportunities."
